The **Human Resources Director - Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Commercial Region**is responsible for providing HR leadership, consulting, and expertise across the countries in the region - Japan, Korea, India, SEA, Australia and New Zealand - to support the organization’s mission, vision, values, and strategic and operational plans. The individual will align Leica Microsystems global Human Resources strategies with business strategies and successfully implement critical people initiatives in a fast-paced, complex, and rapidly growing business.

This position reports to the VP Global HR and Internal Communications and is part of the Human Resources team located in _Singapore _and will be an on-site role.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- You are the HR Business Partner of VP Commercial APJ Region and as such you coach the country Managing Directors/GMs and client group in the selling units in all people related topics to achieve Company targets.
- You design & implement with your team the best HR strategies and action plans to support regional business growth and transformation.
- You build & roll out tangible initiatives to attract, retain, develop, engage and ensure exceptional associate experience for our diverse talents to enable current and future business needs.
- You ensure the spread of our company culture around compliance, continuous improvement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
- You lead the regional HR team to deliver first class Human Capital and HR operations & administration service in a hybrid shared service model.

**The essential requirements of the job include**
- University degree (e.g. Master/MBA) in business or HR
- At least 10 years’ experience in roles with strategic and operational HR business partnering experience cross-countries in Asia, preferably supporting the commercial functions.
- Has led and implemented business transformation initiatives being a practitioner of change management and continuous process improvement and is a talent attractor
- Has hands on experience in interacting with multiple stakeholders (in HR & in Business) in a matrix organization and is able to represent & articulate company interest and employee advocacy in all situations.
- Excellent communication skills in English (any other language is a plus).
