**Role Overview**:An ITAM manager, a leadership role in IT Asset Management.

**Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and report on IT assets, including forecasting, budgeting, and ongoing oversight.
- Ensure business practices align with good corporate governance by identifying and mitigating risk exposure.
- Lead the IT Assets team, overseeing the recording of new tangible and intangible assets.
- Advise the business on asset capitalization policies and ensure timely commissioning of new technology assets.
- Analyze inventory turnover and work with the business to optimize asset utilization.
- Conduct and oversee inventory sighting exercises, ensuring proper procedures and timely reconciliation.
- Address IT asset inquiries related to hardware, software, and mobile lines, collaborating with IT to fulfill business needs.
- Drive continuous improvement through system changes, streamlined processes, and automation projects.
- Maintain comprehensive asset data in a designated system (e.g., CMDB, spreadsheets).
- Analyze collected data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain IT Asset Management standards, processes, and procedures.
- Manage asset discovery to ensure an accurate and up-to-date inventory.
- Implement and monitor effective governance for IT asset processes.
- Identify and manage key risks, such as technology obsolescence and audit compliance.
- Regularly review and improve Asset and Configuration Management processes for efficiency.
- Plan and execute annual IT asset verification exercises.
- Track and report on all IT assets, including mobile lines and telecom services. Educate and guide data owners/custodians on asset management activities.
