Thales established its presence in Singapore in 1973 to support the expansion of aerospace-related activities in the Asia-Pacific region. Throughout the last four decades, the company grew from strength to strength and is today involved in the primary businesses of Aerospace (including Air Traffic Management), Defence & Security, Ground Transportation and Digital Identity & Security. Thales today employs over 2,100 people in Singapore across all its business areas.
**Responsibilities**:
- Sign orders in line with the set targets.
- Grow the pipeline of Air Traffic Management opportunities for the region.
- Qualify key prospects and prepare capture plans.
- Implement Left-Shift principles with a view to shape opportunities early.
- Liaise with the Regional Company to ensure Thales Compliance standard and procedures are strictly enforced.
- In cooperation with the Country organizations, identify and build partnerships with regional companies that will increase the chances of success whilst building a sustainable long-term business.
- Support and facilitate customer meetings and presentations with Country Directors and Key Account Managers.
- Work with bid team and different stakeholders to win projects and to ensure critical timelines and quality on offers are achieved.
- Manage updates to tools and associated processes capturing opportunities.
- Ensure proper commercial reporting: consolidated regional view of the pipeline, regularly updated and in line with the countries and business units’ strategic plans.
- Support marketing activities (e.g. events, presentations, preparation of marketing materials, demonstration).
- Regional reporting and forecasting of OI/business objectives.
- Support market intelligence for the business: towards partners, customers and competitors.
- Network with the industry key business, suppliers, academic and government players.
- Network internally with Business Lines and support functions.
**Requirements**:
- University Degree in Aeronautics or Electronics Engineering or Business.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years sales or marketing working experience within the aviation sector dealing with Air Navigation Service providers, airlines or airports.
- Proven solid work related achievements.
- Domain knowledge associated with the Air Traffic Management industry is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Passion and enthusiasm are essential.
- Ability to deal with various different cultures in Asia.
- Ability to be a Team player with good soft skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Can travel frequently and work under high pressure.
