Job Opportunity - Business Development & Strategic Partnership.

DIFX is the world’s first fully insured cross-asset trading platform. This platform was created as a blockchain-based cryptocurrency exchange to bring significant and lasting change to financial markets. This ecosystem offers an all-in-one solution for Digital Currency; made to trade, invest, and stake. We have license from over 16 countries and currently holds 80+ employees.
We are looking for a stellar Business Development & Strategic Partnership. In this role you will conceptualize and contribute to blockchain-enabled initiatives, collaborating with the rest of the team on building and maintaining solutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage the implementation of an overall fundraising strategy and plan

which includes a diverse range of funding streams
- Investigate and contribute to strategic decisions in relation to developing alternate

income streams (consultancy, philanthropists etc.)
- Identify and track funding prospects as they arise and maintain the appropriate

tracking tools
- Play a key role in the development and maintenance of DIFX’s CRM database of

potential funders, consultants and partners for business development
- Report to Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Board on progress against

fundraising targets
- Develop and support new and current partnership engagements including identifying

and building relationships with prospective collaborative partners on bids
- Develop and manage positive and constructive relationships with potential funders

and internal and external stakeholders, including meeting stakeholders and funders
on own or with program staff
- Oversee and support the development of concept notes and proposals as

appropriate in liaison with Finance and Program teams by managing the bid process, contributing to technical proposal development and budgeting, and developing commercial strategies for bids.
- Keep up to date with existing and potential DIFX program and those of our

competitors
- Working closely with marketing & communications colleagues to develop familiarity

with the requirements of key funders, the language used, and funding specifications
to inform the preparation of excellent commercial and technical bids
- Keep up to date with charity legislation and funder requirements with respect to

fundraising (for instance IATI compliance etc.) and alerting appropriate senior staff
- Develop and maintain appropriate business development tools and processes as

needed
- Develop and maintain key resources to support program bids including standing

documents, databases of activity costs and day rates, database of financial and other
relevant policies

**Requirements**:

- Several experience in developing strategic partnerships within a pre-seed start-ups
- Proven track record with business development or partnerships
- Excellent relationship-building skills across all levels of a partner’s organization
- You are a hustler by nature. You know when to be calm, and when to be assertive. You listen more than you speak
- You are self-aware and have a clear understanding of your strengths, weaknesses, beliefs, motivations, and emotions. Self-awareness is not only about knowing how you move through the world, but also about how your energy affects others in a workplace environment
- You give people your undivided attention and listen with the intent to understand and learn from others, not simply to respond
- You are attentive to business development process design and have a wicked ability to simplify complexity, to extract the essence from systems and processes
- You are able to operate calmly, kindly with compassion in ambiguous situations and a busy environment, and are able to focus on multiple initiatives effectively through impeccable project management
- Experience in the finance or e-commerce sectors is a plus
- Superb organizational and time management skills

- Outstanding communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Proven track record of leading negotiations and structuring deals
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus
