**STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION PORTFOLIO**

Are you a Social Media savvy with a knack for the internet who wants to contribute to our Strategic Communication Team? For Youthplomacy, the strategic communication team is crucially important. To reach a wider audience, we need someone to develop, manage, and handle our online presence. The team, led by the Director of Strategic Communication, is responsible for managing all communication strategies, including public relations efforts and content planning.

Communications, social and digital media, content curation, and audience expansion will all be managed by the Strategic Communication team. This role will allow you to receive practical experience and training in a plethora of different communications topics while understanding about a small nonprofit organization.

**STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION ASSOCIATE (SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST)**

**Reports to **:Director of Strategic Communication

**Position Duration **:3 months

**Time commitment **:Approximately 6-8 hours per week

**WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?**
- The Strategic Communication associate is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic communication plan on social media by: _
- Assisting in the development of our social media strategy as well as the creation and maintenance of a social media calendar.
- Creating and managing material for our social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter), as well as keeping our social media channels up to date on a regular basis.
- Delivering a media connection with the audience by collaborating with other teams and parties involved.
- Developing communication plans and campaigns, as well as ensuring that messages reach a diverse range of audiences.
- Monitoring the impact of our social media efforts.
- Reporting and providing valuable inputs, attending biweekly team meetings as well as department meetings.

**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
- An enthusiastic, innovative, and creative social media enthusiast who utilizes the platform to engage audiences in the organization's goal.
- Someone with an eye for details and strives for perfection; a final checker to make sure all types of content are grammatically correct and error-free.
- A social media expert with a strong grasp of current trends and platform capabilities, particularly on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter.
- Someone who demonstrates the ability to create compelling content ideas and manage audience communication, as well as the capacity to turn big amounts of data into intriguing and engaging tales.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to form productive working relationships with coworkers and other stakeholders are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to get things done, work well with others, take initiative, and work independently.
- A background in communication is preferred but not required.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6 per week

**Salary**: $100.00 per month
