**We have an exciting vacancy in Kyowa Kirin and we are looking for a Patient Partnership Manager to join our regional team
The Patient Partnership Manager at Kyowa Kirin plays an important role in developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy on engaging with patient advocacy in the area of specialty care and rare diseases in the Asia Pacific region. The role builds alliances, partnership opportunities and advocacy in response to patient needs and also strive to raise company’s reputation as a global specialty company contributing to patients’ health and well-being. Based in Singapore, this role comes with approximately 30% travel within the Asia Pacific region.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set rules of engagement with patient advocacy groups for Asia Pacific regional office and our affiliates in collaboration with Corporate Social Responsibility and Legal departments.
- Directly responsible to develop overarching advocacy strategy for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong and implement plans to engage patient communities across our portfolio, working cross-functionally with other business functions at HQ and affiliate levels.
- Work with China, South Korea, Taiwan and Australia representatives to build internal capabilities and develop local advocacy plans, enabling them to engage and build collaborative, long-term partnerships with stakeholders and patient advocacy groups and compliantly exchange of information related to areas of interest.
- Raise the patient perspective as a consideration at each stage of our brand planning and decision making and contribute to the successful implementation and achievement of goals.
- Propose and implement patient advocacy programs and partnerships at regional level that include educational programs and materials, advisory boards, patient speaker engagement, clinical trial awareness, policy advocacy etc.
- Introduce and embed a patient-centric mindset and engagement in organisational activities and serve as primary regional point of contact for HQ and affiliates on topics of patient advocacy and engagement.
- Identify patient champions, work with advocacy groups compliantly to help them develop, grow, and build capabilities, turning into high-functioning and sustainable organisations.
- Build and maintain close working partnerships with established patient advocacy groups and associations.
- Ensure relationships are strategic not just transactional, and sustain productive ongoing partnerships based on shared patient-focused objectives.
- Drive presence at relevant advocacy organisation events and meetings. Represent Kyowa Kirin brand at specific meetings and present where appropriate.
- Work with Corporate Communications to ensure that leadership and support to patient community is evident to external community.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in social science, public health, science or related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 5-10 years of experience in the bio-pharmaceutical, healthcare or non-profit environment with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in rare disease and patient advocacy.
- Understand the rules of engagement between industry and patient groups.
- Track record in working with Southeast Asia and Hong Kong patient groups, and in-depth knowledge of the rare disease policy and market access landscape in those countries.
- Regional experience and knowledge in mature markets is a strong advantage.
- Ability to serve as company ambassador with external stakeholders.
- Strong track record of delivering results in project management and operational strategies.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools such as Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
