WE ARE LOOKING FOR.....

Responsible to drive Brokerage and Bancassurance Channel sales in non-exclusive partnerships to increase AIA’s market share of business and working closely with Brokerage and Bancassurance business partners to achieve sales targets. This is accomplished through close engagements, meetings, seminars, training workshops, sales & marketing campaigns, coaching & prospecting support, and point of sale work.

Supported by a team of Business Development Managers, the Head of Brokerage and Bancassurance will work with internal support personnel to design and implement sales and marketing strategies.
- To develop and deliver appropriate business plan to achieve sales target for the Brokerage & Bancassurance partners in non-exclusive partnerships.
- Conduct product and sales training through individual and group training sessions, seminars, workshops, and meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners to foster and build sales growth.
- To establish performance measurements and service level commitments, plan sales campaigns, prepare for new product rollouts, and ensure proper alignment with the business partners’ own goals and objectives to help them grow their business.
- Design and develop sales and marketing training and marketing materials to maximize sales, with support from Distribution and Marketing Support areas to meet business partners’ needs, while being responsible for budgeting and expenses.
- Work with AIA trainers and Business Development Managers, to ensure business partners’ training/coaching needs are fully catered.
- Ensure continuous development and growth of the Business Development Managers capability, including taking an active role in training, mentoring and coaching.
- Keep abreast of market development and updating office of these updates. Recommend solutions to improve products by gathering customer feedback on our products and those of competitors, as well as market conditions and developments.
- Meet activity goals identified by the Chief Partnership Distribution Officer.
- To grow and achieve VoNB targets for Brokerage & Bancassurance Channel.
- To ensure achievement of 100% planned activities at zero overrun.
- To develop the Brokerage & Bancassurance team (team synergy, staff development, career progression, succession planning).

Job Requirements
- Good communication skills and the communication network of the incumbent is expected to be approximately: 20% internal with Partnership Distribution (Product & Marketing, Strategy & Transformation, Projects & Governance); Internal Departments (eg Underwriting, Actuarial, Ops, Customer Service, Legal, Compliance). 80% external with Brokerage and Bancassurance partners in non-exclusive partnerships - Firms and Rep
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business Management / Banking & Finance)
- Minimum 15 years of sales & management experience in insurance, banking or finance industry
- Attained CLI, ILP, HI, FNA qualification e.g. M5, m9 & HI
- Strong business development & high net worth (HNW) experience with international brokerages & private banks
- Good technical knowledge of high net worth (HNW) insurance, investment and wealth management products and services
- Solid strategic and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to work independently and to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to create and deliver effective presentations, seminars, and workshops.
- Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices
- Proven ability in identifying and growing business segments as measured by sales and persistency of business; A track record of successful delivery of results
- Expected to maintain knowledge of existing AIA products, new or enhanced AIA products and existing AIA marketing campaigns; to be on top of competitive environment (new products/services and/or sales campaign launch)
- Experience in marketing insurance or investment products. Ability to identify and position the products and services.
- Must possess excellent presentation skills
- Strong selling, interpersonal and relationship cultivation skills
