Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in understanding and meeting customer needs by offering the right solutions through the right channels to the right customer segments. The team is responsible for implementing distribution strategy, driving the delivery of market leading personal banking customer experiences and thereby maximising customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Bancassurance Specialist Team Head.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- You will be responsible for the development and growth of insurance sales within the Personal Banking segment. Personal Banking is a strategic priority for HSBC providing everyday banking with global access to customers from basic banking, card spending, wealth support and more
- You are expected to be a technical expert in insurance products ranging from endowment, whole life, investment-linked plans and able to provide insights on the advisory on various financial needs in Manage Wealth, Retirement, Protection, Education to mass affluent customers
- You will lead a team of Insurance Specialists and work closely with the Channel Head, Sales Managers, and Insurer BDMs to support the Personal Wealth Managers (PWM) in their day-to-day sales, assist them in deepening and growing client relationships through uncovering client's needs and recommending suitable insurance products. Your team needs to ensure sales competency of PWMs in product technical knowledge by providing effective on-job coaching and training to meet their monthly sales performance expectations
- You will also work with the Head of Bancassurance and product team to set insurance sales strategies to increase the penetration of the customer base

Requirements
- A recognized university degree
- At least 8 years of experience in the banking/ financial industry with strong experience in life insurance sales, preferably in the Bancassurance space
- Good understanding of the industry and regulations and compliance requirements
- Experienced in managing a team. Ability to work under pressure and independently to manage sales and cope with any changes in expectations
- Confident and highly energetic; self-motivated and driven
- Good communication, written and presentation skills
- Possess relevant CMFAS accreditation
