Automotive Account Director

Job Summary:
The Automotive Account Director is overall responsible for product and solution sales in the South East Asia region for the automotive domain.
- Key account management of dedicated Asia automotive OEMs and Tier1 OEMs (Hyundai/Kia/Vinfast.,etc) and Tier1(LG/LGIT/Hyundai Mobis & Continental.,etc)
- Hardware and software sales to automotive accounts in the South East Asia region
- Developing sales and business development strategies for the assigned market
- Global account development where customers have global reach
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsibility for order intake and revenue events with automotive customers for products, solutions, and services in the assigned region
- Budget responsibility, including forecasting/ pipelining and co-ordination of customer-related activities
- Acquisition of customers, development of long-lasting customer relationships
- Development and enhancement of relationships on C-1 level and above
- Presentations, consulting, business development, and negotiations on different levels
- Lead all customer-related activities, such as RFX, workshops, marketing initiatives
- Proposal of (new) use cases - initiate and drive innovations from a sales perspective
- Developing cross discipline initiatives with other G+D entities in the Region (Payment and Identity) towards automotive (e.g. In-car payment capabilities)
- In cooperation with the support team drive the presales process, understand customer requirements and pain points, and create and deliver the value proposition.
- Negotiate contracts and service levels
- Identify and develop upsell opportunities with existing customers
- Managing new projects and development until commercial launching in cooperation with the product management team
- Managing the customer forecast and on-time delivery for new and running projects
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales to Automotive customers in South East Asia
- Korean & Asia automotive accounts and SIM/eUICC product and solution sales experience are essential
- Understanding basic connectivity standards and architectures
- Understanding car telematics and infotainment systems as well as telecommunication system
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in the automotive sales industry
- Ability to coach and lead the (potential) customer to change and navigate the decision process
- Ability to effectively communicate on all organizational levels
- History of developing business with existing and new customers
- Strong capability to filter and focus on the winning opportunities
- Degree in engineering or equivalent long-term experience and understanding of complex communication technology and/or software solutions
- Self-driven, open-minded, result-oriented team player who independently drives sales and business development to expand our footprint
- High degree of business acumen in regard to sales skills, pricing strategies, negotiation skills, and revenue and financial management
- Salesforce management skill
- Network and intimacy with decision-makers in the automotive industry especially for Korea Automotive and Tier1 customers essential
- Fluency of oral and written Korean language to communicate with Korean customers
