Global Logistics Director - Automotive Strategy

Candidates can be based in any of our key hubs worldwide. Job Purpose: The Global Director will shape and implement a comprehensive strategy for Finished Vehicle Logistics within the automotive industry, ensuring alignment with industry trends, supply chain management best practices, and regional goals.

The FVL sub-vertical leader plays a pivotal role in analysing logistics data, identifying optimization opportunities, and spearheading the development of fit-for-purpose end-to-end solutions. Collaborating closely with the ports & terminals team and regional management, they contribute to the creation of innovative products that drive thought leadership and sales.

The Global Director – Finished Vehicles is responsible for formulating and implementing a comprehensive sub-vertical strategy, focusing on staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management within FVL products & services. They must leverage their expertise to develop and execute effective logistics and supply chain strategies within automotive FVL segment, resulting in tangible contributions to business growth and profitability.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive FVL strategy within automotive
  • Align with industry trends, supply chain management best practices, and DP World regions
  • Analyse logistics data to identify optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with ports & terminals team and regional management to create innovative products
  • Drive thought leadership and sales through end-to-end solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or related field
  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in logistics and supply chain management
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective logistics and supply chain strategies within automotive FVL segment
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large datasets related to automotive supply chain operations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with logistics technology commonly used in the automotive FVL industry
