**About the Department**:
The **Wholesale Bank** function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
**Responsibilities**:
As part of the Data Analytics team within the division of Product & Business Management under Group Commercial Banking, you will support managerial decision-making and strategic business development through data discovery, analytics and generation of actionable insights.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and provision of information reports for periodic and ad-hoc portfolio performance monitoring and regulatory reporting
- Work closely with stakeholders on data extraction, provisioning and discovery initiatives
- Cross-functional collaboration with wider analytics team and business partners to generate actionable insights to drive business objectives and continuous improvement
- Supporting Group Commercial Banking’s regional strategic projects and initiatives with data research and analytics
- Supporting Commercial Banking and Group Wholesale Banking and/or Bank-wide projects including system rollouts / enhancements and management dashboards.
**Job Requirements**:
- Recognized university degree with at least 4 years’ prior experience in Banking and Data Analytics
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills are a requirement.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools like SAP BO, Qlik and PowerBI.
- Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to articulate insights to the target audience using presentations / visualizations
- Proficiency in VBA, SQL and Python is a plus
- Detail-oriented, meticulous and able to operate independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders of all levels
- Able to work under pressure and multi-task
