**About the Department**:
**Operational Risk Management **is responsible for identifying, measuring, controlling, and monitoring operational risk, and providing early warning of risk indicators. Limits exposure due to human error, unsupervised trading, transaction processing failure, external events, information systems threats, data integrity, and fraud. The Risk Management function is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk. May include establishing risk management procedures and processes to ensure adherence to policies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be involved in the review and continuous improvement of the Group Operational Risk Management Framework and Policy, and in the oversight of their implementation for consistency and effectiveness.
- Fine-tune and enhance the scenario assessment programme and establish a scenarios library with related governance processes.
- Discuss and facilitate discussions between key stakeholders on periodic scenario assessments with a view to develop ‘what-to-do’ playbooks, identify business control priorities, inform risk appetite statements and test operational resilience.
- Be involved in the continuous development and enhancement of the Key Risks and Controls Self-Assessment (KRCSA) programme, and guide RM managers in Singapore and Overseas Subsidiaries on the annual KRCSA exercise with Business and Support Units (BU/SUs).
- Conduct annual refresher training on KRCSA and Scenario Analysis to Group BU/SUs and overseas subsidiary ORM units for their onward training of local BU/SUs.
- Consolidate and report the overall annual KRCSA results and highlight any material or pervasive risks to the Operational Risk Management Committee.
- Continuously enhance the KRCSA module in the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system, and conduct periodic end-user testing where necessary.
- Be involved in the identification and assessment of transition and physical operational risks relating to climate risk as part of the Group Environmental Risk Management Framework.
- Participate in Operational Risk Exchange (ORX) initiatives and periodically gather operational risk-related data from internal or external resources to conduct statistical analyses.
- Lead and/or participate in ad-hoc projects from time to time.

**Job Requirements**:

- At least 10 years of operational risk management, quality assurance or other risk control-related function experience from the banking industry
- Experience in the implementation and/or continuous enhancement of an ORM module will be an advantage.
- Degree holder or its equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage a variety of stakeholders within the Bank.
- Natural team player and collaborator.
- Self-starter, with initiative and strong drive to achieve good quality work.
- Highly adaptive and able to manage varying exigencies at work.
- Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
- Experienced in end-user testing as part of enterprise-wide system implementation and lifecycle.
