**The Role
We are looking to hire an Actuarial Associate within the Asia Pricing - Project team at Pacific Life Re, a major global player in Life Reinsurance.

**Duties
1. Support the development and maintenance of a robust set of actuarial modelling tools and processes.

Key tasks include:

- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Pricing, Corporate Actuarial and Actuarial Systems Team to suggest enhancement to aid modelling efficiency, accuracy and consistency.
- Stay abreast of developments in pricing and capital methodology and support implementation of these into the modelling tools.
- Draft user requirement document, perform local changes and test changes made by actuarial system developer.
- Maintain go-live documentation, user guides and excel regression model.

2. Provide ad-hoc support to quote team, for example:

- Maintain Tableau dashboard with existing treaties’ loss ratio & business mix information and perform inforce treaty rate review.
- Perform experience analysis to derive best estimate basis used in pricing.
- Maintain best estimate assumption library used for pricing work.
- Review of pricing tools and methodology.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Essential**
- 1-2 years of working experience in a Modelling, Pricing or Corporate Actuarial role with demonstrable interest in actuarial modelling and coding experience, e.g. SQL, C++, Python or VBA.
- Experience of using Prophet, MoSes, RiskAgility FM, Tyche or similar modelling platforms, including an understanding of the benefits and limitations of such platforms.
- Good analytical skills and a demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise workloads and deliver tasks on time.
- Ability to be forward-looking and design solutions that are versatile to address future needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders in Actuarial and non-Actuarial teams.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
