On behalf of one of its clients, The French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Sales Manager Asia Region.
Our client has a very exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, adaptable person within the Singapore team. The Sales Manager is a key role with responsibility for selling high-performance military and commercial boats to Military and Professional users across Asia. You will be expected to travel extensively within Asia for customer meetings and trade shows, to his HQ in Paris and to their factories in Spain and in Canada.
The Sales Manager for Asia Commercial, Government and Military is responsible for the development of sales and the consolidation of the distribution network in the Asia region, particularly with government and military customers. They will be based in Singapore. The Sales Manager for Asia Commercial, Government and Military reports directly to the Managing Director Asia and collaborates with the Commercial Director, the company Asia team, the technical support team, the sales administration team, operations department and the training and after-sales service team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop sales and maintain relationships with customers in the Asia region
- Establish and maintain contacts within the market and lobby for new opportunities
- Propose and implement strategies to develop the market
- Identify key accounts: direct clients, influencers, distributors, shipyards, administrations, marine professionals, etc.
- Regularly visit clients to maintain relationships and establish new business opportunities
- Prepare quotations and ensure the timely delivery of products and services
- Work with technical support to ensure customers needs are met
- Report regularly (at least monthly) on ongoing opportunities to provide a global view of sales activity and support coordinated management of accounts
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing distributors and develop new distribution networks in the Asia region
- Establish sales objectives and support distributors with quotations and responses to local requests
- Visit distributors and our client Service Centres regularly, as well as key direct clients
- Report on visits made, ongoing opportunities, product presentations, and possible participation in local events
- Provide product training to customers on basic operation and technical adjustments
- Assist in the organization of trade shows in Asia (logistics, documentation, etc.)
- Promote training courses offered by our client companys training services to distributors, shipyards, and marine professionals.
- Travel frequently within the Asia region and occasionally to other countries (our client factories, trade shows, etc.) - Must be able to communicate and write in English
