Singapore Fencing Singapore Full time

Reporting to the Technical Director (TD) and the High Performance Manager (HPM), FS Sports Medicine and Science Subcommittee, Singapore Sports Institute (SSI), National Youth Sports Institute (NYSI) and any official or Senior Management that Fencing Singapore may assign; and he/she is responsible for the following,

1. Assist in the organisation of overseas training trips / competitions on logistics (flight, land transfer, visa, accom, etc)

2. Contingent management during competitions, i.e. Major Competitions such as Asian/World Championships

3. Review Selection Policy for the respective Major Competitions/Games and Athlete Agreement with HP Team.

4. Involved with budgeting and managing of logistics for Spexscholars

5. Drafting of Athlete Agreement for selection of major competitions.

6. Drafting of budgets based on the Competition plans

7. Administration process for Sport SG Programs, e.g. SpexCarding

8. Administration process for Olympic Council submission with Major Games

9. Work closely with Finance Personnel on finance matters on competitions

10. Liaise with affiliates / school clubs of the Association on general admin matters through quarterly updates and ad-hoc correspondences on all matters

11. Assist during local & locally-organised international fencing competitions

12. Manage general administrative matters such as rental of facilities for coaches/training, purchase of supplies, maintenance of office and training premises.

**Qualification Requirements**
- Diploma in Physical Education and/or Sports Sciences; University degree would be preferred.
- A good understanding of elite fencers’ developmental pathways, especially in relation to the development of talent and knowledge of Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) would be useful.
- Demonstrate a good understanding and sustained integration of Sports Medicine and Science knowledge/resources in the coaching and/or development of national fencers would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, independent worker, and a proven teamplayer. The ability to lead would be advantageous.
- Applicants must be able to independently communicate (written and spoken) in English.
- Excellent analytical, evaluation and planning skills would be advantageous.
- High level of computer literacy would be preferred.
- Must be willing to work long hours and on weekends.
