Job Title: Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of children with developmental needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate key risks and protective factors using various engagement methods.
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators, parents, and caregivers to provide necessary resources and support for children with developmental needs.
  • Maintain and document case files, preparing social reports for complex cases to be reviewed by senior colleagues.
  • Identify gaps in services based on client needs and suggest improvements to service delivery.
  • Support the planning and implementation of targeted programs, such as those for parents of children with special needs.
  • Perform administrative support tasks related to maintaining systems that sustain casework activities.
  • Participate in case conferences as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide guidance to new colleagues and contribute to the growth and development of the team.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Work or Counseling recognized by the relevant accrediting body.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field, with significant interest/awareness/knowledge of mainstream inclusion issues and early intervention programs.
