Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating opportunities for children with unique needs by promoting understanding of their special requirements and equipping caregivers and educators with effective strategies to aid development and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of each student to understand their challenges, strengths, and developmental needs, and develop personalized plans based on their specific needs.
- Provide comprehensive learning support in the classroom through tailored management strategies and learning support techniques.
- Offer behavior management support by analyzing behaviors and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Monitor intervention goals, plans, and outcomes for individual students or classes.
- Guide staff and parents to understand the child holistically and implement customized social, emotional, learning, and intervention strategies.
- Provide consultations to parents/caregivers as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Educational, Clinical, or Applied Psychology (relevant sub-specialty).
- Relevant clinical experience working with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of learning, emotion, and social development skills, child development, and classroom management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team.
- Eligibility for full membership with the Singapore Psychological Society or registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists/HCPC/APHRA.
