Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to provide individualized therapy and support the overall well-being of children with developmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide occupational therapy intervention for children with various developmental challenges, such as Motor Coordination Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ADHD.
  • Conduct group therapy classes in areas like handwriting and socialization.
  • Establish strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and teachers through regular feedback and open communication, providing updates on the child's progress and recommendations for home or class strategies.
  • Nurture a network of professionals in the field and maintain good relations with relevant teachers and other professionals.
  • Keep parents informed about sessions and progress after each session via text/photos/videos.
  • Regularly update case notes post-sessions independently.
  • Stay proactive in keeping up-to-date with developments in Pediatric Occupational Therapy.
  • Comply with AHPC regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Diploma, degree, or post-graduate qualification in occupational therapy from a recognized university.
  • Registration and compliance with the Allied Health Professions Act 2011.
  • Passion for inclusionary practice and early intervention strategies.
  • Ability to build rapport and therapeutic relationships with children and families.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with children is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
