We are seeking a skilled Indian Cuisine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Indian cuisine cooking and a good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. You will also need to be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
- Following recipes and adjusting spices and ingredients to meet customer preferences.
- Managing food prep, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and work area.
- Ensuring proper storage of ingredients and leftovers.
- Monitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety.
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in Indian cuisine cooking.
- Knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Culinary training or certification is a plus.
