Role overview You will be responsible for project-level identification of environmental, social, and physical climate risks and development of mitigation measures; and for analysing and transforming climate and biodiversity data into actionable insights and initiatives. The role also focuses on delivering fit-for-purpose policies and governance procedures — from board-level delegations to cross-functional operating policies — with consistency, traceability, and clarity. You will work closely with all corporate functions to ensure policies at asset and platform levels can be effectively implemented across the organization. The role requires strategic thinking, regulatory awareness, strong stakeholder engagement, and analytical depth to minimize environmental and social risks and impacts. Key Responsibilities Platform level policy implementation Develop and implement a comprehensive internal ESG policy architecture covering corporate, functional, and project-level needs Establish clear delegation of authority frameworks, accountability structures, and policy approval protocols Partner with Project Development, Investment, Legal and other functions to support drafting, review, and alignment of key policies and contracts to Peak’s ESG standards Prepare the organization for investor/lender due diligence and certification assessments by ensuring required policies and controls are in place Asset level Environmental and Social Risk Assessment and implementation Assess environmental, social, and climate-related risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to support investment decisions during development and towards financial close Support the development of methodologies to assess risks, vulnerabilities and impacts, and mitigation and adaptation measures during asset construction and operation Participate in due diligence reviews of investment papers and project documentation Support internal teams in meeting environmental and social requirements and developing related policies and guidelines Oversee the collection, monitoring and reporting of environmental, social, physical hazards and biodiversity data across Peak’s operations Contribute to digitalisation initiatives on process improvement Coordinate policy awareness and implementation across business units and countries, ensuring alignment throughout the Peak Energy organization Identify and evaluate physical climate risks and impact across global operations Keep up-to-date with the latest research, technologies and best practices in climate science, physical risk and resource availability Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental management/science/engineering, biology, climate science or sustainability-related discipline Experience: At least 7 years’ experience in environmental management and sustainability-related fields Experience in environmental and social risk impact assessment, physical climate risk management or project evaluation Technical understanding of ESG standards, impact measurement, corporate GHG measurement and target setting, including methodologies for net-zero or Science Based Targets; knowledge of practices relevant to investors (ISSB, SBTi, SASB, UN PRI, UN SDGs) Proficiency in data analysis, reporting and presentation using Microsoft Office; Access and/or Power BI desirable Experience engaging with companies, investors, consultants and sustainability standards bodies Team player with attention to detail, self-motivation, resourcefulness and accountability; able to work independently and in fast-paced environments Strong analytical, communication, problem solving and project management skills; ability to travel occasionally Additional desirable qualifications: Master’s degree; familiarity with risk management frameworks related to environmental management, climate science, nature, biodiversity or physical climate hazards; business-level English preferred Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Other Industries Construction Software Development IT Services and IT Consulting We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
