The ESG Manager is responsible for driving the implementation of the Company’s ESG strategy, reporting to General Counsel. Responsibilities include:
**_ Development and Implementation of ESG Strategy_**
- Development of the Company’s existing ESG strategy to maintain a leadership position in corporate governance, contributing to a more sustainable environment, and continuing to have a positive impact on our communities.
- Identifying and proposing commitments and targets in areas where the Company can control outcomes and have confidence in its ability to fulfil those commitments.
- Ensuring that the Company meets all reporting standards and requirements set by the HKSE, SGX, the EU and other applicable authorities or regulators.
- Seeking input from stakeholders and proposing how to address significant issues or concerns they raise.
- Recommending potential carbon offset projects and the amount of credits required based on projected carbon emissions to the ESG Committee to ensure carbon neutrality.
- Defining and implementing initiatives to create greater awareness and action pertaining to ESG within the company.
- Maintaining a database of HKEx, SGX, EU and other applicable regulatory ESG disclosure requirements and ensuring compliance with these requirements.
- Working with external experts to conduct gap analysis and external verification to identify shortcomings in the Company’s ESG Strategy.
**_ESG Reporting_**
- Drafting the Annual ESG Report including inputs from the ESG Committee, and the heads of other departments including HR, Technical, Procurement, Airline Leasing & Sales, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications (IRCC) and Treasury.
- Presenting the draft report to the ESG Committee and obtaining sign-off from each ESG Committee member prior to approval by the Disclosure Committee.
- Working with the Chair of the ESG Committee to propose ESG KPIs in accordance with regulatory requirements to the Management Committee.
- Maintenance of the Company’s ESG webpage based on content from the ESG report.
- Supporting Chair of the ESG Committee in quarterly reporting on ESG matters to the Management Committee & Board Risk Committee on the work of the ESG Committee along with near-term plans, ESG strategy and reporting updates, ESG ratings, carbon offsetting, CSR events, and other matters deemed relevant by the Chair of the ESG Committee.
- Monitoring the publication of ratings reports produced by ESG Analyst firms concerning the Company and presenting to ESG Committee, recommending which firms to engage with and analysing and proposing interaction strategies to improve those ratings
- Monthly reporting of ESG activities for the Directors’ Report.
- Assist with directing internal and/or external enquires to the appropriate Heads of Departments in a timely manner.
**_Survey Management_**
- Working with the Head of IRCC in conducting the annual stakeholder survey distributed to equity investors, debt investors, and banking partners and employees.
- Analysis of the results of stakeholder survey and presenting any accompanying recommendations to Senior Management and the ESG Committee.
- Drafting a summary report to be presented to the Board Risk Committee detailing the analysis and recommendations of the survey.
**_CSR Events_**
- Developing an annual plan each January for the Company’s CSR activities and presenting this to the ESG Committee.
- Selecting and managing ESG Ambassadors for events outside of Singapore and ensuring activities are arranged in compliance with the annual plan.
- Proposing sponsorships annually with a focus on the expected benefits to the community and to the organisation and presentation of these sponsorships to the ESG Committee and Management Committee for approval.
**_ESG Committee_**
- Acting as secretary of the ESG Committee including arranging all meetings, ensuring a quorum is met, and taking minutes for the review of the Chair of the ESG Committee.
- Reviewing and proposing changes to the ESG Committee charter to ensure the ESG Committee fulfils the function delegated to it by Chief Executive Officer.
**_Others_**
- Ad hoc projects or tasks as assigned by the General Counsel and/or Chief Operating Officer.
**_Job Requirements:_**
- Degree, preferably in Business or related fields.
- Proficient in business report writing and producing spreadsheets.
- Financial awareness, meticulous and process oriented.
- Resourceful and able to conduct business research.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others to deliver.
- Able to multi-task and work independently with mínimal supervision.
