Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced technical professional to fill the role of Desktop Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to users regarding hardware, software, and networking issues.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative and supportive attitude is essential for success in this role.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Customize desktop applications to meet user needs.
  • Apply monthly update patches, software upgrades for software applications, and provide maintenance to both hardware and software issues.
  • Provide assistance with end-user queries.
  • Schedule with users for deployment and setup of new desktop PCs and laptops, provide listing of new and disposed assets to the IT department, and updates on IT assets.
  • Assist other IT-related issues or requests or activities when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science or relevant disciplines.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a desktop support specialist.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud environment.
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
