Project Title

Interview Survey on Inbound OTA (Online Travel Agency) Usage for High-Income Travelers Interested in Japan


Overview

We are conducting a short interview survey to better understand the travel preferences and behaviors of affluent travelers who are interested in Japanese culture, nature, and regional experiences.

    :
  • How you book hotels when visiting Japan
  • Your interest in Japanese culture and local destinations
  • Your experience using online travel agencies (e.g., , Expedia, Agoda)
  • Feedback and expectations regarding OTA services
  • Interview Period
    : Early to end-June 2025 (we will coordinate the exact schedule individually)
  • Language
    : English


Who We're Looking For

We are looking for
affluent travelers
who meet
all
of the following criteria:

  • Currently reside in
    United States, Hong Kong, or Singapore
  • Have
    strong interest in Japanese culture, nature, or regional tourism
  • Have
    visited Japan before
    or are
    seriously planning to visit in the near future
  • Typically stay in
    luxury hotels priced at JPY 50,000+ per person per night
    (~USD 300–350+)
  • Have used
    online travel agency platforms
    like , Expedia, Agoda, etc.


Compensation

Participants will receive a JPY
5,000 e-gift card
(or equivalent) upon completion of the interview.

Details will be shared prior to scheduling.

We are looking for
3 participants from each country
(Singapore, Hong Kong, USA)

9 individuals

If we receive a large number of applicants, a selection process may apply.
