What The Role Is You oversee initiatives designed to influence and support positive behaviour changes within MINDEF/SAF, playing a pivotal role in crafting and implementing comprehensive behavioural change strategies aligned with MINDEF/SAF mission and objectives while establishing the organisation as a thought leader in applied behavioural science within the Defence sector. What You Will Be Working On Collaborate in setting direction and goals of behavioural change capability and design robust frameworks to guide effective execution of behavioural change projects Partner with key stakeholders to identify requirements, develop comprehensive work plans and ensure initiatives address critical needs within MINDEF/SAF Support hiring and onboarding of skilled professionals and assist in crafting competency matrix and developing tailored courses for behaviour change practitioners Forge collaborations with internal teams, external experts and academic institutions to drive innovation and broaden impact Cultivate leadership buy-in and enhance organisational understanding of strategic value of behavioural science applications Provide oversight and guidance for multiple behavioural change projects, ensuring alignment with objectives and high-quality outcomes Conduct complex user research utilising participatory workshops, behavioural journey maps, ethnographic research and cluster analysis Design behaviour change strategies tailored to target audience needs, motivations and barriers using behavioural science principles Develop comprehensive evaluation plans employing advanced methods such as multi-arm RCTs or factorial designs Effectively convey insights to stakeholders, adapting communication styles to diverse audiences and ensuring seamless adoption of recommended strategies Challenges Driving organisational-wide behavioural change by creating interventions that leverage multiple organisational levers while addressing individual and institutional resistance to new behaviours Establishing measurable impact of interventions by developing clear metrics and evaluation approaches for behavioural change initiatives whose outcomes are often intangible or long-term Managing resource-intensive project requirements by balancing multiple behavioural change projects requiring extensive research, stakeholder engagement and tailored solution design What We Are Looking For Education in Psychology or a related field with specialisation in Behavioural Science Advanced certifications or publications in behavioural science applications advantageous At least 8 years of experience applying behavioural science principles in organisational settings with demonstrated expertise in intervention design and implementation Track record of successfully leading large-scale behavioural change initiatives including design, implementation and evaluation Experience translating behavioural insights into policy recommendations and systematic organisational changes Proven ability to build organisational capabilities in behavioural science through developing frameworks, training programmes and best practices Strong influence and negotiation skills to drive behavioural change initiatives across diverse stakeholder groups Creative problem-solving approach in adapting behavioural science principles to unique organisational contexts Excellence in building relationships and managing expectations across different organisational levels Commitment to scientific rigor and ethical considerations in behavioural intervention design and implementation Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
