Maintenance Operations Manager

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of manufacturing plants equipped with cutting-edge technology and advanced engineering control.

  • Lead a team of skilled mechanical contractors in performing routine plant maintenance, modification, and construction activities to ensure seamless operations without disrupting production schedules.
  • Coordinate with plant operators and other maintenance groups to execute complex plant maintenance and modifications works while ensuring the integrity of facilities.
  • Conduct technical investigations on plant equipment malfunctions, analyze findings, and recommend corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff and contractors to enhance their skill levels and competencies.
  • Respond promptly to plant emergency calls and resolve mechanical issues within tight deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain management systems based on industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SS651.

The Essential Requirements:

  • Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in maintenance of mechanical facilities in oil, petrochemicals, and power industries.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair of Static Equipment and Rotating Equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, agitators, pumps, compressors, and blowers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic knowledge in SAP applications will be advantageous.
  • Essential prerequisites include strong analytical & problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and a strong spirit of collaboration & teamwork.
