Purpose and main tasks Responsible for P/L Escalate operational service issues to other teams Participate to customer visits, reviews, QBR when required Responsible for managing the team incl. hiring of new team members and ensuring that proper induction is provided Responsible for implementing new processes, standards, guidelines when required Act as escalation point and resolve cross team conflicts Escalate unresolved issues to next management level Resolve invoicing issue with customers Supervise the accurate and timely movement of ocean freight to- and from specific locations within the service standards agreed with the Customer Supervise all Vendor facing communication and shipment related internal communication between DSV stakeholders Responsible for selecting the most optimal service (cost, lead times, reliability...) Participate to vendor reviews and QBR when required Responsible for operational quality and corresponding KPI Supervise the execution of country specific customs clearance processes Manage and resolve invoicing disputes with vendors and internal departments Responsible for operational productivity and personnel expenses Escalate invoicing issues to other teams for resolution Implement new processes, standards, guidelines when required Ensure the overall performance of the team as specified in internal/external KPI's, Service Level Agreements (SLA's) Ensure an appropriate and balanced workload for individual teams' members and the team overall Act as escalation point and resolve internal cross-team conflicts Monitor individual and team performances for quality and quantity Procure multimodal FCL, LCL pre/on-carriage services (Hinterland Transportation) by truck, rail or barge Supervise multimodal FCL, LCL pre/on-carriage services (Hinterland Transportation) by truck, rail or barge Create solutions- and pricing for FCL, LCL ocean freight Hinterland Transportation services for internal Ocean Operations-, Trade- and Sales Teams Handle selected Vendor facing communication and shipment related internal communication between DSV stakeholders. Responsible Foster a positive and engaging work environment. Enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability while managing costs effectively. Promote a digital, paperless workplace through the use of DSV's electronic tools. Identify upselling opportunities and collaborate with the Sales Team where applicable. Oversee ocean freight pricing, ensure timely and accurate quotation delivery, and coordinate follow-ups with Sales. Ensure efficient and high-quality execution of operations. Select service providers based on portfolio, cost, and service quality, including coordination with CFS, on-carriage, and trucker partners. Maintain regular engagement with customers, LCL/trade management, and network partners. Escalate operational or technical issues when required. Ensure timely and accurate invoice release. Manage discipline and grievance matters for direct reports. Participate in performance appraisals, recruitment activities, and on-the-job training to support staff development and career progression. Handle discipline & grievance cases for direct reports Involved in the exercise of performance appraisal as a supervisor or leader Participate in recruitment process to attract and identify potential candidates Responsible for on-job training and career progress for direct reports
