Regional Commercial Manager

The incumbent is responsible for leading and overseeing the commercial strategy, sales performance, and market development activities across the designated region. This role plays a crucial part in driving revenue growth, optimizing market access, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives. The individual in this role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, regulatory, and finance, to ensure the successful execution of commercial initiatives and achievement of regional targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Research, connect, and establish relationships with potential clients and key decision-makers within their organizations to convert opportunities into business growth.
Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy in alignment with the company’s global business objectives and growth targets.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Drive the closing of the in-licensing process.
Evaluate critically the market opportunities and work to in-license new products in a structured business development process in alignment with the company’s strategic direction.
Lead the sales team to achieve or exceed regional sales targets and profitability goals.
Drive and launch new products in the region by collaborating with marketing, regulatory, and supply chain teams.
Introduce new products and services while maintaining and strengthening existing relationships. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to drive sales growth.
Develop and manage the regional budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet business objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, and industry stakeholders, acting as the key point of contact between the regional commercial team and global leadership.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in life science, pharmacy, biotech, or related field.
Possesses between 5 to 8 years of experience in commercial management, sales or business development in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, which includes market access, pricing, reimbursement, and regulatory environments in the region.
Strong track record of success in a regional or international role.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
