Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as self-managed Business Development Manager to identify and execute growth opportunities, in coordination with the global Mobility team.
- Support existing customer, while working to expand sales on new applications.
- Conduct difficult negotiations with customers, explaining complex and sensitive information; works to build consensus.
- Coach regional sales team to expand competencies and win customer projects; Champion and lead global opportunity pipeline.
- Recommend product and market strategies to expand Gates position.
- May require domestic and international travel for customer support (35%+).
Keys to Success
- Passion and familiarity with bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, ATV and snowmobiles
- Strong contacts within the industry of the assigned mobility market segments; including customers, suppliers, partners, and major distributors.
- Strong English written and verbal communication; strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Requirements and Preferred Skills
- BS or BA; Engineering a plus; 5 years BD experience
