Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineering Manager to spearhead our lean transformation and operational excellence initiatives.

This critical role is at the forefront of driving efficiency, reducing costs, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across our Singapore manufacturing site.

Your mission will be to lead strategic initiatives that boost productivity, enhance value streams, and eliminate waste.

In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to challenge the status quo, drive innovation, and optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Manufacturing Managers and team members to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and implement changes.
  • Lean Development and Training: Provide training and guidance on Lean principles, Kaizen participation, and visual controls to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Value Stream Optimization: Eliminate waste, improve flow, and optimize value streams to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Kaizen Roadmap: Develop and own the Kaizen roadmap in partnership with Manufacturing Managers to drive sustainable improvements.
  • Facilitate Improvement Opportunities: Conduct office and factory walkthroughs to identify improvement opportunities and escalate actions.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Programs: Design and lead programs focused on labor hour reduction, cycle time improvements, and process optimization.
  • Participate in Kaizen Events: Actively participate in Kaizen events as both a team member and leader to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: In Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience: In Manufacturing, Process, Industrial Engineering, or Production Management.
  • Proven Track Record: In project management and implementation with a proven ability to drive results.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: With strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: With excellent communication, leadership, and motivational abilities to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Practitioner of Lean Manufacturing: With experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts and a deep understanding of assembly and production methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • (ASQ or equivalent) to demonstrate expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional and cross-regional teams to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Kanban and Material Replenishment Systems: Familiarity with Kanban and other material replenishment systems to optimize inventory management.
