Employment Agent Role

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Employment Agent to join our organisation.

We are looking for a professional who can source potential employer and domestic helper leads, match helpers with employers, negotiate employment terms, prepare necessary documents, ensure contracts meet legal requirements, coordinate training programs, provide after-sales follow-up and service, and mediate between workers and employers when problems arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Matching: Source potential employer and domestic helper leads, understand personal profiles, skills, experience, salary expectations, and aspirations of domestic helpers, discuss needed skills and characteristics of helpers with employers, and match helpers with employers.
  • Negotiation and Documentation: Negotiate on the terms of employment, prepare all necessary documents, undertake formalities according to national regulations, and finalize hires.
  • Training and Support: Coordinate training programs and provide after-sales follow-up and service to both employers and domestic helpers.
  • Mediation and Counselling: Mediate between workers and employers when problems arise, perform 3-party mediation to assess reasons and circumstances leading to breakdowns in employment relationships, and address gaps amicably.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be sales-oriented, proficient in handling employer and FDW matters independently, have knowledge of Ministry of Manpower Employment Regulatory Frameworks, and adhere to all rules, regulations, and professional codes of conduct laid down by the Ministry of Manpower and the Association of Employment Agency of Singapore.

Competencies:

  • Communication: Correspond with candidates and employers via email, phone, and in person, act as point person for candidates, employers, and liaison between two parties throughout hiring process, demonstrate diligence in communication and follow-up, and provide timely and accurate information.
  • Relationship-Building: Establish positive connections with candidates and employers which will lead to immediate or future sales potential.
  • Marketing and Social Media: Market company and jobs to potential employers and candidates, find best channels, write convincing job posts, leverage technology and social media to increase reach of job ads.
  • Sales: Pitch job to candidates as well as suitability of candidates to employers, address questions and concerns from both parties to close sale.
  • Use of Technology: Use software platforms to digitally prepare and sign all documents and processing required to formalise hiring.
  • Mediation and Counselling: Perform 3-party mediation when issues or disputes arise during employment to assess reasons and circumstances leading to breakdowns in employment relationships and address gaps amicably.
