Job Description (Summary)
We are seeking a logistics manager for our renowned courier company who is able to manage the movement and storage of supplies and ensure that shipments are delivered on time. They also work to resolve issues with transportation, imports, exports, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory management:
Predict and manage inventory needs to meet customer and company expectations.
Shipping and logistics:
Oversee and optimize shipping and logistics operations.
Transportation:
Manage transportation operations, including negotiating rates with shipping lines.
Customer service:
Resolve customer issues.
Warehouse management:
Manage warehouse space, equipment, and manpower.
Stock management:
Maintain accurate stock records and perform stock takes.
Additional Responsibilities:
Carry out and execute all daily jobs received from customers and ensure that all information is relayed down to the respective Operations Teams at the end of the day.
Perform billing and ensure the accuracy of the invoices raised.
Perform data entry into the respective systems in an accurate and timely manner.
Attend to customers’ requests or calls in a timely and professional manner.
Perform filing when the job is completed.
Ensure that all complaints/feedback received from customers are escalated to the Customer Service Lead, as well as any other matters that need to be known by the Customer Service Lead.
Provide the necessary training and guidance to assigned buddies.
Prepare reports as assigned by the Customer.
Assist in extracting information as required.
Verify contractor’s invoices as required.
Coordinate with external parties/approved contractors and ensure jobs are carried out per instructions.
Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
Develop SOPs for major clients and ensure necessary training materials are disseminated to relevant parties.
Assist in sending out quotations if assigned by Account Manager or Customer Service Manager and escalate to Account Manager or Customer Service Manager when in doubt.
Assist the Lead with any tasks assigned from time to time.
Key Competencies Needed (Courier Service):
Well-versed in handling and managing Transportation, Coordination with operations team, License/Bonded/DG Warehouse Inventory and activities.
Able to coordinate well with Singapore Customs on any related matters.
Meticulous and experienced in different types of permit declaration – License/Bonded/DG clearance permit declarations.
Job Pre-Requisites:
GCE ‘O’ Level or relevant educational qualifications.
Entry-level/no working experience is welcome to apply; training will be provided.
Possess knowledge of procedures and relevant systems to carry out daily jobs with ease.
Possess good communication skills to ensure that customers and internal stakeholders are satisfied.
Attentive and detail-oriented.
Able to work under stress and pressure.
Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.
