Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing business relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and introducing alternative products to meet customer needs. Additionally, they will support both customers and suppliers in evaluating products, gathering feedback, and suggesting improvements or alternatives.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers to understand their needs and introduce suitable products.
* Evaluate customer feedback and work with suppliers to implement changes or suggest alternative products based on customer requirements.
* Prepare and review quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
* Follow up with customers on payment issues or any other concerns, and address inventory control matters as needed.
* Source reliable suppliers from various countries, utilizing our global network.
* Foster a culture of customer satisfaction through proactive actions and continuous improvement.
* Submit weekly sales activity reports to Assistant Sales Manager and provide data for budget meetings in June and December.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in raw materials and additives for the food processing and/or pharmaceutical industry.
* Experience in international trading is highly valued.
* Knowledge of materials functions and/or R&D development is an asset.
* Strong motivation and proactive approach to building business relationships and establishing good communication with customers and suppliers.
* Ability to travel overseas, with proficiency in Japanese language being a plus for communication with Japan HQ.
* Possessing a car is an added advantage, but not necessary.
Benefits:
* Working location: Central, Singapore
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
* AWS (1.5 months)
* Car allowance $850 (if owning a car) or transport allowance $100 (for those who do not own a car)
* Medical claim $4,000 annually, including $200 for dental claim annually
* Annual leave starting with 14 days, increasing by one day each year up to a maximum of 24 days
