Job Description
Position : Blockchain Fraud Investigations Specialist
Type : Full-time
Team : Internal Audit & Investigations
Level : Mid-to-Senior
You will act as a
forensic blockchain analyst and internal fraud investigator , focusing on:
Detecting
financial misconduct, fraud, and insider threats
in crypto environments
Conducting
forensic analysis
on
blockchain transactions, wallets, and smart contracts
Generating investigative reports for
executives, compliance teams, and regulators
Blockchain Forensics : Use tools like
Chainalysis ,
TRM Labs ,
CipherTrace , or
Elliptic
to analyze on-chain activity
Fraud Analysis : Detect insider trading, unauthorized crypto transfers, wallet siphoning, or misconfigurations
Whistleblower Case Handling : Confidentially handle reports tied to internal crypto misuse
Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with
Audit, Legal, Compliance, Security, and Risk
teams
Regulatory Reports : Document investigations with clear evidence and risk mitigation plans
Continuous Learning : Stay ahead of the curve on
DeFi, scams, smart contract exploits , and regulatory changes
Education : Degree in
Cybersecurity, Forensics, Finance, Law, or Computer Science
Experience :
5+ years
in
fraud detection, cyber investigations, or audit
At least
2 years focused on blockchain or crypto-related forensics
Must-Have Tools Knowledge :
Blockchain analytics platforms (e.g.,
TRM Labs ,
Chainalysis ,
Elliptic ,
CipherTrace )
Crypto exchange and wallet mechanics
Familiarity with
AML ,
KYC , and
risk frameworks
in digital assets
Certifications (Preferred) :
CBSP
– Certified Blockchain Security Professional
Soft Skills :
High integrity and discretion
Strong report writing and presentation skills
Analytical mindset and attention to detail
