Main tasks The primary role of the Sales Manager is to sell OXE Diesel Outboards into the marine industry within designated geographical region. Area of responsibility to manage will include Asia – Bangladesh, Burma, Brunei, Cambodia, China, East Timor, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, The main objective is to develop an actively network of distributors, dealers, and OEM boat builders in all outboard market segments within designated geographical region. You will work to define near term and long-term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, successfully negotiate business deals, and gain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Responsibility Establish accounts within your region. This includes setting up stocking distributors, dealers, OEM accounts and house accounts. Negotiate and sell OXE diesel outboard motors and continuously generate revenue from your accounts. Take lead in pricing solutions and services, preparing quotes, invoicing, and tracking orders. Develop, execute, and maintain OXE contracts with users. Aggressively discovering and pursuing all OXE outboard sales opportunities to present our diesel outboard technology to commercial and government decision makers. Cold call as appropriate within your region to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Identify and meet with potential clients and decision makers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Set up meetings between client decision makers and OXE's leadership. Handle objections by clarifying and emphasizing sales agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Assist in the company's efforts to provide life cycle support programs to customer and dealers. Work with technical staff and other team members to meet customer needs. Retain clients by presenting new products and services and enhance existing relationships. Execute on the strategic business plan for sales of OXE diesel outboards Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. Present business trends and consult with senior level management with a view on developing new services, products, and distribution channels. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators. Requirements for the role We are looking for a Sales Manager located in Asia to lead and expand our regional sales efforts. Education & competencies Bachelor's degree in Business Mgmt. or similar experience with relevant connection to marine business Work experience Worked with direct sales of boats, engines and/or relevant marine equipment, with profound experience of negotiating and closing deals. Personal qualities needed for the role Ability to build lasting relations Maintain and develop relations Result oriented High self-drive Company advocate Other Other duties include driving demo boat for boat shows, Dealer, Distributor or OEM events Travel outside Europe in cases that include boat shows, marketing events, and company meetings Drug screen and background check Valid passport – position will require international travel. If required, I-9 verification of eligibility to work in the United States Valid drives license This position requires that the employee must be able to clear security requirements to enter military facilities. This will require random government background checks. Position will require global travel as needed. Often this travel will be with short notice.
