Senior business development manager

Job Purpose The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible to engage, educate, and onboard new customers to ensure that the value of our product proposition is maximized. The incumbent is tasked to grow the Premier segment customer network and drive customer activation as part of the go-to-market plans for the direct customer sales channel. The incumbent will be responsible to grow the direct customer inforce base through the Customer Referral Program (CRP) for both Singapore and offshore markets through our digital touchpoints, working in collaboration with the Customer Proposition team. Key Responsibilities 1) Customer Onboarding Develop and execute customer activation strategies for CRP and new product launches. Support the onboarding process for new customers where applicable, helping them understand product features, setup, and best practices. Conduct roadshows to acquire and onboard affluent customers digitally and introduce the customer referral program proposition. 2) Customer Engagement Plan and execute customer engagement programs in collaboration with OCBC Banca Channel targeted for the premier segments. Maintain regular contact with customers during the activation phase to answer questions, address concerns, and ensure they are satisfied with their experience. 3) Problem Solving Troubleshoot and resolve any issues customers encounter during activation, collaborating with technical support or product teams as necessary. 4) Feedback Collection Gather customer feedback during and after the activation process to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in the customer journey. 5) Activation Effectiveness Analysis and Reporting Monitor customer engagement levels and proactively develop plans to respond to signs of disengagement (e.g., low referrals) or frustration to prevent churn. Monitor and periodically report the effectiveness of customer activation, including but not limited to new-to-GE customers onboarded for the period, communication, and engagement effectiveness. 6) Cross-Department Collaboration Work with product proposition, research, and operations teams to optimize the customer activation process and provide insights on customer needs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, product marketing, or a related field. Experience in customer acquisition and recruitment in an agency, bancassurance, or broker environment, specifically in business development and/or direct customer acquisition/activation functions. Proven ability to solve problems creatively, with strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful. Capacity to manage high-stress situations. Strong conflict resolution skills.
