Job Title:
Maintenance and Facilities Technician
About the Role:
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal operational condition of all building and facilities maintenance in the Schools, adhering to current regulatory and safety standards at all times. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preventative maintenance and ensure all facilities operate efficiently, conforming to established operating standards.
  • Hands-on in addressing urgent repairs and complaints related to electrical services, plumbing, and sanitary requests.
  • Proper maintenance of interior and exterior walls of buildings, appliances, and equipment within the premises.
  • Conduct regular inspection activities to identify building wear and tear, defects, and areas for improvement.
  • Mobilize and supervise contractors on major renovation and rectification works.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to company safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Promote accurate updates and reports for all work progress and completion.
  • Monitor and control expenses within the department's scope.
  • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements:
  • A relevant Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec qualification or 5 years of relevant working experience in major building maintenance/construction projects.
  • Possess a class 2B/3 license with own transport.
