Business Development Representative/Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative/Manager
to join our team and lead our efforts in acquiring paying partners. This role is crucial in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth.
This is a 6-month contract role with the opportunity to convert into a full-time position based on performance. It is particularly suited for professionals who are currently seeking opportunities to transition into a startup environment, and there is room for growth in business development and technology. If you are eager to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and want to build expertise in an impact industry, this role is for you.
The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships with prospective clients in order to catalyze business development success. This individual will schedule meetings with clients in order to understand their needs. They will also work closely with the team to uncover new leads.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner Acquisition:
Identify, pursue, and secure strategic partnerships with potential paying clients that align with our business objectives. Work directly with the team to discover opportunities from leads. Generate appointments by means of proactive outbound prospecting.
Market Research:
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the designated market.
Networking:
Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to connect with potential partners and build a strong professional network.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, managing the partner onboarding process and ensuring satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the product development team to ensure alignment in strategy and execution.
Reporting and Analysis:
Monitor partnership performance and report on key metrics; provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Cultural Adaptability:
Navigate and adapt to the cultural and business practices of the market to facilitate successful partnerships.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience in a related field.
5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in technology, pharmaceutical or healthcare.
Pharmaceutical sales representative experience is advantageous.
Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing business partnerships.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate strong selling and influencing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
