Job Description

The Commercial Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth through strategic planning, contract review, and negotiation. This leader optimizes profitability, ensures compliance, and fosters key stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to optimize business performance.
  • Lead pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Oversee contract management to ensure internal policy compliance, legal compliance, and favorable terms.
  • Work with supply chain teams to drive cost-effective procurement and inventory management.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Ensure commercial activities comply with regulations and ethical standards.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts with data-driven insights.
  • Manage project budgets and optimize costing strategies.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to commercial teams.
  • Oversee financial forecasting, revenue optimization, and profitability analysis.
  • Drive digital transformation and automation in commercial operations.
  • Identify new revenue streams and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist sales team with sales quotation preparation and individual costing sheet for special projects.
  • Attend overseas trade shows and/or events where necessary.
  • Build relationships with global distributors and key customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial management, business development, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, contract law, and risk management.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing commercial strategies.
  • Experience in market analysis and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive collaboration across teams.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation and automation in commercial processes.
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on new revenue streams.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in contracts and trade financing.
  • Experience in a similar or related industry is an added bonus.
