Manufacturing Cost Analyst Job Overview

This position plays a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations by providing financial analysis, cost accounting, and strategic insights related to supply chain finance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of costing principles, standard costing methodologies, and financial reporting. This includes the ability to analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability for API production.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cost Accounting Analysis and Reporting:
    • Proficiency in cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and overhead allocation.
    • Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability for API production.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare annual budgets and forecasts for manufacturing operations.
    • Monitor and analyze budget performance, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with API production processes and supply chain dynamics.
  • Financial Compliance and Auditing:
    • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and external regulations.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for tracking costs, inventory, and financial data.
    • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, data manipulation, and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or financial analysis, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of costing principles, standard costing methodologies, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
