Job Role:
">The position of a Cost Control Specialist involves preparing and submitting tenders and quotations with specified deadlines and cost estimates. This encompasses taking quantities, sourcing suppliers and subcontractors, evaluating price comparisons, and summarizing costs.
">In addition to the above responsibilities, the Cost Control Specialist will be responsible for:
">- Preparing Monthly Progress Claims and Payment Responses for Clients and Sub-Contractors/Suppliers;
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies for cost savings opportunities;
- Handling office administrative matters and preparing quotations and variation orders;
- Coordinating with project teams, customers, consultants, and sub-contractors to facilitate effective work activity coordination;
- Providing assistance in ensuring compliance with government authorities during submission stages;
- Performing site measurements as necessary;
The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or its equivalent, and have at least 1 year of experience in the building construction industry as an M&E QS. They should also be computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and exhibit independent, committed, reliable, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
">The successful candidate will have strong negotiation, administration, procurement, compliance, team player, tendering, pricing, sourcing, electrical engineering, and cost control skills.
