Job Title: Cost Control Specialist

As a highly skilled Cost Control Specialist, you will play a key role in analyzing cost comparisons, preparing budgets, and evaluating the award of sub-contractors/vendors. You will be responsible for measuring quantities, taking off if necessary, and preparing variation orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and record quantities to ensure accurate billing and payment.
  • Prepare and evaluate variation orders, ensuring that all costs are properly accounted for.
  • Source and negotiate with reliable vendors/suppliers to obtain the best deals possible.
  • Manage daily procurement and contract requirements, maintaining and updating procurement databases/costing with budget.
  • Assist management in all contractual and costing matters, providing expert advice and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience, with QS experience a must.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to work independently under minimum supervision.
  • Excellent negotiating skills required to negotiate costs with vendors/subcontractors.
  • Good organizational skills, able to organize, plan, and strategize when necessary.
