Overview
Total Rewards Specialist, Program & Project Management. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Total Rewards Specialist with strong program and project management skills to support the planning, development and execution of total rewards initiatives, including compensation, benefits and recognition programs.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects and programs are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with our overall HR, Total Reward and business strategies. The role will be working with various stakeholders across different time zones (APAC, India, EMEA and USA).
Your day at NTT DATA
The Total Rewards Specialist is a subject matter expert responsible for analysis, administration and evolution of the company total rewards philosophy, as well as related policies, processes and practices. The main responsibility is to stay abreast of changing Compensation and Benefits trends by conducting external market research. This role works as an individual contributor within the broader total rewards team to balance compensation and benefits opportunities in line with organizational strategy, budgets and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Identify, lead and manage total rewards projects from inception to completion (e.g. global and/or regional harmonization of total rewards practices and process).
Program Management: Support the design and implementation of total reward programs, policies and processes (e.g. annual compensation cycles). Manage continuous improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of total rewards programs.
Data Analytics: Analyze data and metrics to support decision making related to compensation, benefits and workforce rewards. Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations to communicate findings.
Stakeholder Management: Partner with internal HR, Finance, Legal and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of reward initiatives.
Communication: Communicate program and project progress to global stakeholders across varied time zones.
Consultation: Advise internal stakeholders such as HR Business Partners on company compensation policies, processes and practices.
Talent Offers: Partner with internal HR teams to execute new hire offers and promotions, including salary benchmarking.
Rollout Accountability: Roll out Total Rewards projects and programs within a region/country or globally.
Policy & Practice Development: Engage with Total Rewards experts to define, develop and communicate new policies, processes and practices in line with the Total Rewards strategy.
Annual Salary Review & Bonus: Actively participate in ASR and annual bonus payout processes at regional or global levels.
Data Integrity: Audit and review internal compensation data to resolve pay disparities and alignment with the compensation philosophy.
HRIS Support: Perform data entry, reporting and transaction support for the HRIS to ensure accuracy.
Market Intelligence: Research benchmarking and survey data to identify trends and support decision making.
Additional HR Projects: Assist the HR Management team with related HR projects as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of experience in total rewards, compensation and benefits, or HR program and project management.
Strong project and program management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Effective communication with employees, HR professionals and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI.
Knowledge of Workday is a plus.

Understanding of compensation, benefits, and performance management principles and their impact on engagement and retention.
Knowledge of compensation analysis methods, including market benchmarking and salary structure.
Understanding of performance management processes, goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
Data analysis concepts and tools applied to compensation, benefits, and performance metrics.
Strong written and verbal communication to collaborate with team members, HR partners, and employees.
Knowledge of HRIS platforms and payroll systems for data management and reporting.
Ability to handle sensitive compensation, benefits, and performance-related information.
Commitment to providing responsive service to employees on total rewards and performance matters.
Ability to conduct complex compensation analysis, benchmarking, and design competitive pay structures.
Demonstrated ethical behavior and confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
Required experience
Experience in total rewards including compensation, benefits, and performance management.
Experience managing employee benefits programs including design, enrollment, and compliance.
Experience using data analytics to interpret compensation and performance data for decision-making.
Experience communicating and collaborating with HR teams, senior leaders, and employees on total rewards matters.
Experience working with benefits providers, compensation consultants, and performance management platforms.
Experience identifying and addressing challenges in compensation, benefits, and performance management.
Experience leading and managing changes in total rewards and performance programs.
