Job Overview

This role involves leading strategic growth plans for marine insurance solutions across Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business expansion, fostering client and market relationships, ensuring technical excellence, and championing innovation in line with regional and global objectives.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive client and revenue growth for marine risks (Cargo, Hull, P&I Marine Liabilities) in Asia.
  • Analyze sales pipelines and delivery performance in Asia to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Build strong relationships with insurers and reinsurers to develop leads and opportunities and gather market intelligence to secure the best deals for clients.
  • Collaborate with retail teams on broking strategies for key clients, considering local markets, direct markets, and Global Broking Centre London.
  • Provide technical support and training to the network on emerging issues in the marine world (Cargo, Hull, P&I Marine Liabilities).
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of BCP, PGI, or CommGI for registration with MAS or a similar qualification acceptable to MAS.
  • Proven track record within the marine insurance industry.
  • Technical skills around insurance policy interpretation and drafting and/or marine risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and insurers.
