Job Description

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving the sales organization, marketing, and sales teams to grow the sales of the Grid Automation and Communication portfolio within the APAC region.

This role requires strong leadership skills to manage direct reporting and all indirect reports in a matrix organization. Experience across the Electrical Industry within Utilities, Power T&D, or Power Systems projects, especially in Substation Automation & Communication is an advantage.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced computer skills across MS Office, MS Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint. Good written and verbal English communication skills with high attention to detail are also essential.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver orders in accordance with expected profitability.
  • Analyze profitable potentials, focusing on white spots, new segments, new customers, and new channels.
  • Leverage local Sales organizations and networks of Distributors and Channel Partners to anticipate technological changes and launch new Products and solutions.
  • Lead Local Sales Units with technical and commercial expertise to sell Automation and Communication offerings, consolidating leads, opportunities, initiatives, orders intake, and all other sales KPIs related to AC business in the region.
  • Shaping Global Product Group needs and ensuring these requirements are planned in the product R&D Roadmap.
  • Prepare AC sales plans using company tools, perform regular status reviews, and propose recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls while leading direct negotiations.
  • Evaluate market and customer conditions to ensure competitive offers.
  • Act as a communication channel for Global product groups, bringing feedback and lessons learned to the APAC HUB.
  • Maintain direct relationships with customers, Channel partners, Distributors, Potential Third-Party suppliers, MKT teams, account managers, Bid and Proposal teams, Global Product Group, and Country and Regional management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies and procedures, proactively assessing risks and monitoring corrective actions.
  • Create a workplace where everyone views health, safety, and environment as the most important non-negotiable value of the business.
