Shipping Operations Coordinator

As a seasoned Shipping Operations Coordinator, you'll be responsible for overseeing the entire shipping lifecycle, ensuring seamless and efficient movement of goods. This role demands a deep understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and logistics best practices.Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate and monitor all aspects of shipping operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, to meet scheduled delivery deadlines.
  2. Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth shipping processes.
  3. Prepare and process essential shipping documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading (BL), certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
  4. Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations, trade agreements, and company policies.
  6. Stay updated on changes in shipping regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements, especially those relevant to Singapore and key trading partners.
  7. Source and negotiate with freight forwarders and carriers to secure competitive shipping rates and optimal service levels.
  8. Identify and implement strategies to optimize shipping routes, modes of transport, and overall logistics efficiency.
  9. Manage shipping-related costs and ensure adherence to budget.
  10. Resolve any shipping discrepancies, damages, or delays swiftly.
  11. Maintain accurate and organized records of all shipping activities, documentation, and communications.
  12. Generate regular reports on shipping performance, costs, and compliance.
  13. Serve as the primary point of contact for all shipping-related inquiries from internal and external parties.
