Job Title: Ship Operations Coordinator

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating ship operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. Key responsibilities include liaising with external parties, monitoring vessel positions, and assisting chartering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with vessels, agents, charterers, owners, shippers, receivers, and other external parties to ensure seamless operations.
  • Daily monitor vessel positions and schedules to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
  • Provide information and support to chartering teams on running voyages.
  • Assist in time charter operations and voyage planning.
  • Orientate stowage optimization strategies to maximize cargo capacity.
  • Issue invoices and hire statements, manage laytime, and demurrage.
  • Finalize voyages, including follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate port calls, negotiate port disbursement accounts, and manage cleaning procedures.
  • Verify and approve shipping documents, commission invoices, and notifications for pre-funding.
Requirements:
  • Maritime studies degree or a recognized university graduate with a related course.
  • A team player who can work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of IMOS, CFM, SEDNA is an advantage.
  • Strong English language skills.
  • Attention to detail.
