Citi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Support Analyst to join its Applications Support team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to users of Citi Applications, ensuring the stability, efficiency, and effectiveness of application systems, and identifying ways to maximize the potential of these applications.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in application support, with experience installing, configuring, or supporting business-critical applications. They will also have a solid understanding of software development methodologies, database management systems, and cloud computing platforms. In addition, they will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand.
As a member of the Applications Support team, you will be responsible for performing same-day risk reconciliations, developing and maintaining technical support documentation, assessing risk and impact of production issues, and ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly. You will also participate in application releases from development, testing, and deployment into production, engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality, and consider implications of technology to the current environment.
The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years' experience in an Application Support role or in a development role, experience installing, configuring, or supporting business-critical applications, strong working experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and ability to write complex SQL queries, and good experience with Unix, Linux operating systems and ability to write Shell scripts. They will also have knowledge of Cloud computing and familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift platform, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, and ITIL process, ServiceNow, ITRS monitoring, AppDynamics, Kibana, and Splunk tools. Additionally, they will have advanced execution capabilities, ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization, effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand, demonstrated analytical skills, issue tracking and reporting using tools, knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools, and good all-round technical skills.
