Strategic Account Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned leader to drive growth and success in our government sector initiatives. As a strategic account director, you will be responsible for championing client visions and driving creatively effective work.

This role requires a skilled professional with experience in managing government campaigns from ideation through production and rollout. You will take accountability for growing revenue and generating new business by growing existing accounts and developing new ones.

The ideal candidate will lead a team across client portfolio management, delegation, supervision, coaching, and enhancement of team capabilities. They will establish effective client relationships at senior levels, plan and support the development of strategic direction, and manage the delivery of creative work to set timelines and agreed costs.

Key responsibilities include researching and developing new business proposals, identifying business opportunities in new markets and countries, and leading the team to provide final sign-off on agency outputs. You will also ensure clear and accurate briefs are taken from clients, identify potential client issues and problems at an early stage, and lead to finding a client-acceptable solution.

Motivating, developing, and managing group account staff is crucial, as well as understanding training recommendations and delegating effectively. The successful candidate will make sure the account is running profitably for the agency, accountable for achievement of sales, profitability, and key performance metrics of the client.

  • Familiarity with social channels, community management, online campaign development, and social production requirements is a plus.
  • Sound project management experience ensuring deadlines are achieved adhering to budgetary requirements.
  • Able to understand competitive dynamics both client's and company's business.
