Wine Operations Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our wine operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional wine experiences for our members. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wine, combined with strong leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive wine strategy aligned with the club's vision and member expectations.
- Manage the club's wine inventory, ensuring accurate stock control, optimal stock levels, and cellar organization.
- Oversee supplier agreements, logistics, and storage compliance, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to procurement best practices.
- Lead and mentor the Inventory Manager and Head Sommelier, ensuring seamless coordination between stock management and service.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the sommelier and cellar teams, enhancing their expertise in stock management, wine service, and sales.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of wine, including wine education and wine sales.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in team leadership and development.
- Ability to develop and implement effective strategies and plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
