Job Title: Strategic Category Manager

Overview:
Elevate your career as a strategic category manager where you will oversee major capital equipment categories, execute supply chain and contract strategies, and lead purchase orders across APAC.

This role demands deep expertise in the local market and proactive communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Partnering: Collaborate with business teams to resolve stakeholder issues and educate on procurement processes. Build strong relationships and recommend process enhancements.
2. Resource Management: Provide updates on supplier performance, address resource and budgetary issues, and develop complex business cases.
3. Negotiations: Partner with business leaders to execute purchases that deliver cost savings and improve vendor performance. Monitor supply agreements and engage suppliers to secure favorable outcomes.
4. Procurement Strategy: Implement global procurement strategies, develop vendor management plans, and establish procurement goals. Maintain industry knowledge and ensure stakeholder alignment.
5. Cost Savings: Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities, develop proposals, and maintain cost forecasts for the region.
6. Supplier Management: Lead supplier management processes, ensure compliance with contract terms, mitigate supplier risks, and conduct inventory analysis.
7. Contract Management: Oversee contract documentation, partner with Legal to manage the contract lifecycle, negotiate contract terms, and manage order requirements.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, cost consultancy, or equivalent experience;
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or category management;
Extensive knowledge of the Southeast Asia market and local regulations;
Proficient in end-to-end procurement processes;
Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills;
Goal-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to change;
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data center or large-scale industrial engineering projects; Knowledge of commodity management, contract management, and quality management; Familiarity with mechanical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, and substations; Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement; Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Coupa, Anaplan, and Smartsheet;
